A TEMPORARY PAUSE OF THE BTAA HELPLINE SUPPORT SERVICE
The BTAA Helpline service to callers requesting support for brain tumours and related neurological issues will be temporarily paused for a period of review and reassessment.
While we are unable to take your call during this period, we wish to redirect your concerns or questions to a dedicated and appropriately resourced agency able to provide advice and support for your situation.
Cancer Council Australia: Offers a Cancer Connect service on 13 11 20 for information, support and help finding cancer-related services.
National Advocacy Service with Peace of Mind Foundation providing support, advice and help navigating the NDIS and Centrelink, phone 0456 608 484
Lifeline: Call 13 11 14 for 24/7 crisis support and suicide prevention.
For further information about support service organisations across Australia, please go to the Brain Tumour Alliance website – www.btaa.org.au/resources-support
There are also many useful references about living with brain tumours, clinical trials and videoed patient forums on this site.
We will make a further announcement about the future of the Helpline support service following the review process.
