BTAA develops evidence-based policy reports and submissions to improve care, support and outcomes for people affected by brain tumours. These documents reflect our members’ experiences, expert insights, and our advocacy priorities.
BTAA also works with the Australian Brain Tumour Collaborative (ABTC) to develop advocacy briefs, reports and submissions.

The Australian Brain Cancer Landscape
The Australian Brain Cancer Landscape 2025 provides a comprehensive, evidence‑based view of the burden of brain cancer in Australia. Developed by BTAA in partnership with the Australian Brain Tumour Collaborative (ABTC), it highlights the human, clinical and economic impacts of brain tumours, and presents a clear call to action.
The Australian Brain Cancer Landscape calls for three key advocacy asks:
- Invest $200 million over 10 years to establish the Australian Brain Cancer Mission 2.0
- Invest $8.75 million to implement a national Brain Cancer Care Coordinator framework, including 23 specialised nurses
- Sustain and scale the National Advocacy Service with $1.175 million in dedicated annual funding
