Volunteer
Since we were founded in 2008, BTAA has been a volunteer-led organisation. Dedicated volunteers have been at the heart of everything we do: connecting people, raising awareness, and ensuring no one faces brain cancer alone.
Our volunteers bring lived experience, skills and compassion to a community that depends on them. Whether it’s raising awareness and funds, offering support and information to patients, families and care givers or advocating for better outcomes for all those affected by brain tumours, BTAA’s volunteers make a real difference.
You can get involved with BTAA in a range of ways, depending on your availability, interests and skillset. Opportunities to volunteer for BTAA include, but are not limited to:
- Event management and support, for e.g. Head to the Hill
- Community fundraising on behalf of BTAA
- Serving on one of BTAAs subcommittees to deliver support, events and information
- Project support on specific, time-bound projects such as social media campaigns, resource development and more
There are many ways to get involved – from ongoing roles to short-term projects or event support. We welcome people with lived experience of brain cancer as well as those who simply want to help. No matter how you would like to get involved, lending your expertise, time and energy make a real difference.
Join us and be part of a community working together for hope, connection and change.
